About Yutani Movement

A grounded, collaborative approach to movement

I work with people living with scoliois, hypermobility, chronic pain, and complex health conditions.

My role is to help you understand how your body works, what it responds to, and how to move in ways that feel supportive, sustainable, and realistic in daily life.

Movement here is thoughtful, adaptive, and grounded in real experience — yours and mine.

Who I am

Jeanine E. Yutani
MA, NCPT®, OMT, LMT# OR29745

Licensed Massage Therapist

Osteopathic Manual Therapist

Scolio-Pilates® Educator

Balanced Body® Educator

Franklin Method® Educator

I've spent over 20 supporting people with long histories of pain, injury or instability.

My work is shaped by extensive training and lived experience navigating a body that has faced its own share of challenges. That combination deeply influences everything about how I teach – with curiosity, care and respect for variability — not assumptions.

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all movement strategies. I believe in starting where you are and building skills that make sense for now, while creating options for what comes next.

How I work

Sessions blend movement education, somatic awareness, and evidence-informed strategies to help people move with less fear, less strain, and more confidence over time.

Sessions are:

  • collaborative rather than directive

  • paced and responsive

  • focused on process, not performance

We explore what supports your body, what challenges it, and how to adapt movement so it feels accessible rather than overwhelming. Progress here isn't about chasing perfection, it's about developing clarity, trust, and capacity — at a pace your body can actually integrate.

I welcome collaborative relationships with healthcare providers and can coordinate with care with your existing team.

What this work is (and isn't)

This work is:

  • supportive, not corrective

  • adaptable, not prescriptive

  • grounded in anatomy and lived experience

This work is not:

  • about forcing alignment or posture ideals

  • about pushing through pain

  • about quick fixes or rigid programs

If you've ever felt like movement spaces weren't built with your body in mind, or like a massage therapist didn't understand what your needs really work – this work was created with you at the center.

Jeanine's training & background

My training spans Pilates-based movement education, somatic and osteopathic practices, massage therapy, imagery-based cueing, and ongoing study in movement science and nervous-system-aware approaches.

These credentials inform my — they don't define it. What matters most is how this knowledge is applied, adapted, and translated into something meaningful for your body.

Wondering if this is a good fit?

Most people aren’t sure at first. Many arrive feeling cautious, unsure, or discouraged by past experiences.

We can begin with a conversation — learning what you're navigating, what's felt challenging, and what you're hoping to feel more of in your body.

From there, we build something that makes sense...together.
